Chicago friends, have you heard the news?! Running now through mid-March, Maestro Cares Foundation's Live, Learn and Play mural will be on view at the Wintrust mural building, which is located alongside the busiest highway in the United States! Designed by local Chicagoland artist Pugs Atomz, the mural depicts the importance of youth having a safe place to live, learn and play. Chicago holds a special place in our hearts as it's where we are based, as well as where last year, we opened our first US project with SOS Children's Villages Illinois. The Roosevelt Square Community Center provides the children and the families in the Roosevelt Square Village and the surrounding communities, a safe space to learn and grow together, as well as heal emotionally from their past traumas.

Our Children Around the World: Bolivia
#OurChildrenAroundTheWorld Series continues! This month, we're highlighting our projects in Bolivia, where we currently have two projects. Learn more below!

Casa Hovde: Marta Bedoya de Claure, La Paz - We partnered with Marta Bedoya de Claure Foundation and Hovde Foundation to construct Casa Hovde: Marta Bedoya de Claure in association with Fundación Alalay. This home houses up to 30 young girls ages 12-19 who have suffered from severe street violence and sexual abuse. The home provides these girls with a stable home, nutrition, education, mental health therapy and legal support.

Aldeas Infantiles SOS Bolivia, El Alto- In partnership with Marta Bedoya de Claure, we constructed two foster care homes for Aldeas Infantiles SOS Bolivia. Each of these homes serve up to 8 children and their SOS mother, who serves as a foster parent that provides love and support for all children under their care.
