Goya Foods
groundbreaking cause with
a surprise!
On Tuesday July 27, Goya Foods
held a
groundbreaking ceremony to
celebrate the new expansion to
their Bolingbrook facility. During
the ceremony President & CEO
of Goya Foods, Bob Unanue, pledged
$50,000 towards Maestro Cares
Foundation’s project in San Jose,
Costa Rica. This pledge
is part of a larger $2M
pledge towards ending child
trafficking.
Our inaugural project in Costa
Rica with Face of
Justice, Casa Libertad: Hovde &
Maestro Cares Foundation, will be a home and
immediate care center for young
girls who have been trafficked or
sexually exploited. Thanks
to, Face of Justice, this
home will serve as a space
where girls can heal from their
past traumas and learn to
trust again in a
well-rounded environment.
A HUGE thanks to Goya Foods
and Board Member, Bob
Unanue, for continuing to support
our mission of improving the
quality of life for disadvantage
children and communities in Latin
America and the United
States.
