Now Serving Big Dreams: Our Second Project in Puerto Rico Is Now Open! 🥗

This summer has been all about life-changing transformations in Puerto Rico!

On Wednesday, August 23rd, we celebrated the opening of “Cocina Resiliente,” a community kitchen for the Boys and Girls Club of Puerto Rico in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, our second project in Puerto Rico this year! This new kitchen will provide daily hot meals to 150 children and youth at the center, with the capacity to serve up to 500 hot meals daily! The facade of the kitchen is also a knockout! It features a vibrant mural created by the children in the art and education program. We’re proud to continue #ChangingLives and #BuildingDreams for children and youth in Puerto Rico!

Our life-changing partnership in Mexico continues! Maestro Cares Foundation has joined forces with Goya Foods and Fundación Telmex-Telcel, to fund the expansion of Casa Hogar Alegria’s (CHA) Cacalomacán campus in Toluca, Mexico! Since we constructed the Cacalomacán campus in 2016, the number of girls that have entered CHA has doubled. This expansion will cater to over 500 girls by 2025, leading them to a happier and more holistic lifestyle. The new center will include administrative offices, dormitories, a private patio, a parking lot, kitchen and dining rooms, multi-purpose rooms, office spaces, and a recreational area with a basketball court!

On Friday, August 25th, we celebrated the commencement of this new expansion at CHA’s groundbreaking ceremony. The ceremony was an amazing presentation of compassion, care, and joy! We’re thrilled to continue #ChangingLives and #BuildingDreams for the girls at CHA!
