Maestro Cares Foundation's Ninth Annual Changing Lives, Building Dreams Gala

Co-Founders of the Maestro Cares Foundation, Marc Anthony and Henry Cárdenas celebrated the Maestro Cares Foundation’s Ninth Annual Changing Lives, Building Dreams Gala on December 6th, 2022, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

The star-studded gala was hosted by CNN political commentator and co-host of the View, Ana Navarro and celebrity dog behaviorist, TV star and author, Cesar Millán. On this occasion, we highlighted the contributions and charitable work of five remarkable individuals in the world of music, sports, and business: Jeff Hoffman, Eduardo Trujillo, Mariano Rivera, and Gloria and Emilio Estefan! We were also joined by Carlos Ponce, Karina Banda, J Balvin, Ariana DeBose, Enrique Santos, Consuelos Vanderbilt Costin and many more. We laughed, cried, and felt inspired as we heard from our dedicated scholarship recipients Itzel Ceja and José Luis Cabrera. In addition, the sold-out event included a special performance by Marc Anthony, who was joined by Academy Award Winner Ariana Debose for a surprise performance of Hotel California.

On behalf of the Maestro Cares Foundation family and the children and communities that we serve, THANK YOU! With your support, we are happy to share that we raised $2M that will directly go to our upcoming projects. A HUGE thank you to all our sponsors, hosts, honorees, committee members, volunteers and supporters!

Empowering young girls through soccer!

Maestro Cares Foundation, in partnership with Marta Bedoya de Claure, proudly sponsored a once in a lifetime experience for the Bolivian female soccer team from Fundación Alalay. The girls had the chance to participate in the Street Child World Cup in Doha, Qatar. The event, organized by Street Child United, brought together 28-teams of street-connected young people from across the world to compete in a soccer tournament, a festival of arts, and to advocate for their rights and protection through a child-focused assembly. We are so happy to share that our girls earned 4th place on the tournament. Way to go girls!

Street Child United uses the power of sports to change the way the world negatively sees and treats street-connected young people, so they can be protected, respected and supported to build a life away from the streets.
