Hogar San Miguel

Fundación Vidas- Servicios Sociales Episcopales
Ponce, Puerto Rico

Maestro Cares Foundation, along with its partners, helped build an orphanage in Ponce, Puerto Rico for disadvantaged boys who have mild to moderate special needs, including HIV/AIDS and ADHD.

Hogar San Miguel is a safe and loving home for 20 young boys from 8 to 18 years old. These children suffer from special needs and have been removed from their homes because they are victims of physical, sexual and/or emotional abuse. They receive special services such as 24/7 accommodations and medical services, social workers, speech pathology, occupational therapy, audiology, all in addition to having their basic needs met.

Fundación Vidas- Servicios Sociales Episcopales’ vision is to achieve a better society through the protection, support and development of children and youth most in need, through services of excellence that affirm the Christian values of the Episcopal Church of Puerto Rico.
