Fundacion MIR Montessori (phase I & II) - Jardin de Niños La Mascota

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Overview: Maestro Cares Foundation funded the construction of a children's daycare center in the La Mascota neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. This endeavor holds significant importance, as it provides children from disadvantaged backgrounds with a valuable opportunity. Utilizing the Montessori teaching method, the center prioritizes a comprehensive learning experience centered on play-based education during their crucial early years. Maestro Cares Foundation's investment actively contributes to the growth and development of these young minds, offering them a foundation rooted in educational excellence and compassionate support. This collaboration underscores a steadfast commitment to positively impacting the lives of these children and their community. It aims to promote equitable access to quality education, empowering children to thrive and achieve success.

Phase II of this project aims to address three key strategic goals: the construction of a second floor in its existing building, the immediate purchase of adjacent building and land, and the renovation of the newly purchased building.

These funds will increase the school's capacity from 80 to 160 children. In addition, the new purchase will expand the school grounds to allow for more green space to use for sports and recreational space, as well as expanding services to include after-school programs.

Founded in 2019, Fundación MIR is a non-profit organization created to meet the urgent needs of children who are underserved and experiencing high levels of poverty in La Mascota in Buenos Aires. Its mission is to promote equitable access to quality education, empowering children to thrive and achieve success.
