New Project announcement: Albergue Inspira

We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our newest project in partnership with Albergue Inspira, in Lima, Peru! 🥳

Through our partnership, we opened a temporary pediatric home that will house pediatric patients diagnosed with cancer and other severe childhood illnesses. This home will also house the patient’s mothers, many of whom had to travel to Lima from distant and rural areas in the country where specialized treatment is not available. By providing this temporary home, families are relieved of the emotional and financial burden of finding housing while their children receive treatment.

This new facility will provide 60 children and their mothers with a home, a safe space, and a supportive community.

Our $250,000 donation to combat childhood cancer in Uruguay!

We’re proud to announce the news of our latest donation of $250,000 to Fundación Pérez Scremini in Uruguay! This donation will go towards state-of-the-art medical equipment, including the funding for CAR-T Cell equipment, making it the first center in Latin America to provide this breakthrough technology!

Car-T Therapy involves collecting a patient’s T cells and converting them into CAR T cells. These cells are then returned to the patient’s blood, where they help the patient’s immune cells find and fight cancer! Learn more about CAR T-Cell therapy by watching this informative video by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Inspired by our efforts and want to get involved? Donate today to support our mission of #ChangingLivesBuildingDreams for children and communities in Latin America and the United States!
