Maestro Cares Foundation’s 1st Annual Changing Lives, Building Dreams Gala
Changing Lives, Building Dreams Gala was held on February 18, 2014 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. Proceeds from the event went towards the completion of Niños de Cristo Orphanage in La Romana, Dominican Republic and organizational expansion into Latin America. The event was hosted by television personality Wendy Williams. Maestro Cares Foundation honored three individuals that have made significant contributions to the well-being of children and are actively involved with charitable causes worldwide. The Community Hero Award was presented to Jorge Pérez (The Related Group), Carlos Slim Domit (Grupo Carso) was honored with the Global Humanitarian Award and the award for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility was bestowed to Bob Unanue (Goya Foods, Inc.).
