Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico

Bayamon, Puerto Rico

This particular undertaking is centered around the construction of a new kitchen area within the Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico in the Bayamon municipality. MCF funded the construction of the modern kitchen that has the capacity to serve 150-200 meals daily to children and youth. In its original layout, the Bayamon Club site featured a small cantina/storage room that significantly curtailed the extent of meal services it could offer to the local community.

BGCPR is a non-profit organization with a mission to offer children and youth hope for a better future and opportunities to develop to their full potential. It offers Puerto Rican children and youth ages 6 to 18 with after-school programs that respond to their individual and collective needs. BGCPR has changed the lives of more than 90,000 children from 48 municipalities, operating 11 centers across the island.
