Sala Ana Frank - Phase I and II

Agrupación de Damas Hebreas
Capítulo Cali 1098

Cali, Colombia

Maestro Cares Foundation and Grupo Trusot partnered to fund the purchase of modernized healthcare at the primary hospital serving Southwestern Colombia, Hospital Universitario del Valle Evaristo Garcia in Cali, Colombia.

Our financial support is introducing cutting-edge technology and healthcare services to the Sala Ana Frank operating room in the Pediatric Ward’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This transformative project includes a comprehensive overhaul of the pediatric ICU, extensive renovation and remodeling, plus the acquisition of state-of-the-art medical equipment like an Emergency Cart.

In Phase 1 of the upgrade, we introduced advanced ICU technology and new surgical and diagnostic equipment, including 12 monitors and 3 ventilators. 18 pre/post- surgical hospital beds exclusively for children and 8 dedicated respiratory care beds, along with upgraded meeting rooms, doctors’ offices, intervention areas, and restrooms were also added. These expansions will directly impact the lives of 2,000 children annually. Phase 2 will encompass a larger Intensive Care Unit, the creation of a new Intermediate Care Service, and the establishment of a diagnostic and procedural unit. The current ICU space will be converted into a 10-bed intermediate care unit and procedure room, and the new ICU will have 13 rooms and additional facilities. Phase 2 will directly benefit more than 2,500 underprivileged patients annually, ranging in age from newborns to 17-year-olds.
