Cali, Colombia

The Maestro Cares Foundation, with the Good Bunny Foundation, funded the rehabilitation of the Nuestra Escuela Vocational School, an alternative school operating as a community-based non-profit organization since 2000. This project aims to provide a second chance to youth who need more support in the public school system.

The renovation included three multipurpose spaces and six bathrooms across three floors, and the new spaces are now operating as a technology lab, agriculture classroom, and fashion design classroom. By equipping youth with essential skills to succeed in competitive job markets, the goal is to improve the employment prospects and break the cycle of poverty in this community. The renovated building directly benefits 250 youth and over 300 families.
