Maestro Cares Foundation funded the construction and expansion of a Montessori daycare center, Casa de Niños Emmanuel, in the neighborhood of La Mascota, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The center provides high-quality early education to children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Using the Montessori method, the staff prioritize comprehensive learning through play-based education that empowers children to thrive and succeed.

Phase 1 was the construction of the original building of Casa de Niños Emmanuel, which opened in April 2022.

Phase 2 will include the addition of a second floor to the existing building plus the purchase and renovation of an adjacent building. The new property will allow the center to offer after-school programs and more outdoor recreation in a larger green space.

Once complete, the expansion will increase the school’s capacity from 80 to 160 students.

Casa de Niños Emmanuel is a project of Fundación MIR, a non-profit organization founded in 2019 to expand equitable access to early education in underserved areas of Buenos Aires.
