Casa Hogar Alegría

Guadalajara, México

Maestro Cares Foundation, in partnership with a second project with Fundación Telmex-Telcel, funded the construction of Casa Hogar Alegría’s (CHA) orphanage in Guadalajara, Mexico. The newly established Casa Hogar Alegría Guadalajara is designed to offer a secure and nurturing environment for girls, from infants to 15 years old, providing them with a loving and supportive home.

The facility includes essential amenities such as dormitories, computer labs, recreational areas, dining spaces, a kitchen, a chapel, and a versatile multipurpose room.

As of August 2024, the home is accommodating 34 girls.

In addition to fulfilling basic needs, the center offers engaging workshops and recreational activities aimed at fostering independence, responsibility, and self-confidence among the residents. This initiative underscores the commitment of Casa Hogar Alegría to creating a supportive environment where orphaned girls can thrive and become empowered members of their communities.
