Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico

Bayamón, Puerto Rico

Maestro Cares Foundation collaborated with the Boys & Girls Club of Puerto Rico (BGCPR) to build a new kitchen area for the Club in Bayamón. The newly constructed modern kitchen is equipped to cook and serve 150-200 meals every day. In the past, the Bayamón Club’s community meal services were tightly limited by their small kitchen facilities. Expanding the space empowered the club to expand its impact.

BGCPR has a mission: to offer children and youth hope for a better future and opportunities to develop to their full potential. The non-profit organization runs an after-school service where children ages 6 to 18 can access homework help, art, career counseling, character and leadership development, plus dinner and a snack.

During the past 55 years, BGCPR has impacted the lives of more than 90,000 children, youths, and families through their 11 clubs operating across the island.

Changing Lives, Building Dreams.

The Maestro Cares Foundation improves the quality of life of disadvantaged children and communities in Latin America and the United States. We do so by providing housing, educational programming, and the essential resources to support their growth and development. Through our efforts, we’re strengthening communities and helping children become tomorrow’s leaders.
