Corporación Renal Infantil MATER

The Maestro Cares Foundation and Bizarro Live Entertainment partnered with Corporación Renal Infantil MATER, a Chilean nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing and treating kidney disease in low-income children, to expand access to care and support for pediatric patients and their families.

Phase I, Casa de Acogida, included the purchase and renovation of two existing houses, transforming them into a larger, state-of-the-art facility that serves as a nurturing home-away-from-home for children with kidney and urological diseases and their guardians during treatment. The facility features 10 fully equipped units with private bathrooms and wheelchair access, as well as communal living areas, a playroom, dining facilities, a fully functional kitchen, a chapel, and outdoor spaces. Located one block from Exequiel González Cortés Children's Hospital, Casa de Acogida provides comfort, care, and accessibility for families traveling to receive specialized treatment.

Phase II, completed in partnership with DG Medios, modernized a Double-Head Gamma Camera used in nuclear medicine and renovated the examination room where it operates. The upgraded equipment improves diagnostic capabilities and quality of care, benefiting more than 5,000 children and adolescents with kidney-related conditions.

Each year, Corporación Renal Infantil MATER performs more than 14,000 examinations and 300 surgeries, providing critical medical services to children across Chile.
