Casa Hovde: Marta Bedoya de Claure

Maestro Cares Foundation, in collaboration with the Marta Bedoya de Claure Foundation and the Hovde Foundation, funded the construction of Casa Hovde: Marta Bedoya de Claure for Fundación Alalay in La Paz, Bolivia.

This residence can accommodate up to 30 girls aged 12-19 who have endured severe street violence, trafficking, and sexual abuse. Casa Hovde provides a secure and supportive environment where these young survivors receive essential services, including nutritious meals, educational support, counseling, and legal assistance.

Bolivia-based Fundación Alalay administers Casa Hovde with a mission to address emotional, economic, and social poverty among at-risk children, adolescents, and families. By offering a stable home and a range of critical services, Fundación Alalay aims to support the recovery and development of these girls, helping them overcome their traumatic experiences and build a brighter future. Fundación Alalay has helped 45,000 people in the last 23 years.
