Through our efforts, we’re strengthening communities and helping children become tomorrow’s leaders. To date, Maestro Cares Foundation has established 25 projects in 13 countries including projects in Chicago, New York, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Chile, etc.

Job Summary

Our growing organization seeks to hire a full-time Project Manager to join the Maestro Cares Foundation (MCF) team. The Project Manager will be a key part of the organization and will help to implement the mission, vision, and goals of the organization. The Project Manager will oversee staff and operations of MCF projects and is responsible for the success of all aspects of assigned projects while researching new project opportunities that will promote the growth of the foundation. S/he is responsible for the effective management of our projects as well as consulting and communicating recommendations and strategy for new projects. S/he will ensure that master plans and schedules are followed, develop solutions to project challenges, and direct others for the successful completion of projects on time and on budget.

This position will report to the Executive Director and Board Chairman.

Program and Project Work

  • Monitor and manage existing projects and provide project updates to the Executive team.
  • Research, identify and oversee implementation of new projects.
  • Oversee the coordination, integration, and delivery of all project contracts and related services, ensuring that the expectations of Board, funders, partners, constituents, and other stakeholders are consistently met.
  • Manage the quality assurance of projects, such as project review and evaluation, chart reviews and reporting.
  • Create and maintain fluid and effective project schedules.
  • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are up to date and monitor compliance for all projects.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and cash flow projections; establish and monitor time and cost schedules.
  • Collaborate fully with the Executive Director and the project team in an ongoing effort to identify, create, develop, and evaluate projects and activities to meet the needs of the communities we serve.

Special Events and Management

  • Coordinate scheduling, logistics, materials, set-up, and follow-up for project visits, donor trips, special project events, etc.
  • Manage department staff and recruiting of volunteers.
  • Support development efforts through the promotion and execution of MCF’s annual fundraising events, sponsored program grant development and partnering with the Executive Director to steward funding/external relationships.
  • Manage event budgets, settlements, post-event recaps.
  • Determine staffing plans to achieve program goals and objectives and participate in hiring decisions for new department staff.
  • Serve as a department representative at sponsored concerts and special events, including the Annual Gala and Golf Tournament, and maintain a positive presence at external meetings and events.
  • Solicit donors and prospects for financial donations, auction, and in-kind donations.
  • Raise awareness about the organization’s mission, projects, and activities through speaking engagements, community outreach events, and media interviews.
  • Administrative duties: update databases, prepare reports, monitor income and expenditures.

Other

Maestro Cares Foundation employees are expected to be flexible and to take on additional duties as assigned, according to the organization’s needs and the staff member’s skills and abilities. Because we are a non-profit that serves the community, some events or projects may require an occasional night or weekend.

Type: Full-time
On-Site Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm
