Maestro Cares Foundation partnered with the Bank of America, the Dalton Family Foundation, and Goya Foods to build a community center in Chicago, Illinois with One Family Illinois and SOS Children’s Villages. This was our first project in the contiguous United States.

The Tim McCormick Community Center serves foster children in the 14 SOS foster homes in Roosevelt Square Village. It offers academic support, therapy, recreation, and social activities. Now the neighborhood residents have a central gathering place and a safe space to meet and connect to public resources. The center connects 5,000 people annually.

SOS Children’s Villages is an international non-profit organization active in 135 countries. Their mission is to keep families together, especially to keep siblings together in foster care. The organization empowers individuals through community-based support.
