Together California
SOS Children’s Villages
Palmdale, USA
Maestro Cares Foundation is funding the construction of a 7,000-square-foot community center that will serve 12 local foster homes in Palmdale, California.
The facility will benefit the children living in the local foster care homes, as well as families throughout the entire neighborhood. In the community center, children can access academic support, therapy, recreation, and social events. The center also hosts community educational programming and financial planning workshops. It is a safe space for the neighborhood to access public resources.
In 2011, Together California was created to provide this same kind of critical support to vulnerable children in Los Angeles county. Their goal is to provide an alternative model of foster care by keeping siblings together.
