The Lurie Kitchen Transformation aims to overhaul the floorplan of this chef-led and volunteer-run kitchen. The expansion will increase capacity and efficiency in meal preparation; when the kitchen opened in 2012, it served 150 meals per day, and it now serves over 450 meals daily. There will also be an extension of the playroom and space for families to connect in comfort during stressful times.
