February 2019 Newsletter

Starting the year the right way, with two new projects!

Maestro Cares Foundation has once more committed to a project  in Cali, Colombia. This is Maestro Cares 3rd project in the city, due to the extreme need that is present in Cali.

Maestro Cares Foundation and its partner Grupo Trusot, are funding the construction of Casita de Belen’s expansion to its current orphanage. Casita de Belen is an orphanage that cares of babies and toddlers who are in state of abandonment or in physical and psychosocial danger. They currently house 80 babies between the ages of 0-8. This new addition will provide a recreational space to play and learn. The expansion will allow Casita de Belen to increase the number of children they attend to between 70-100 more infants.

The construction started last month and is well on its way with about 15% of the work done in just one month. Maestro Cares Foundation and Group Trusot are thrilled to be part of this amazing project.

Planning visit from Henry Cárdenas of Maestro Cares Foundation and Eduardo Trujillo from Grupo Trusot.
A second project underway in Guatemala:
Maestro Cares Foundation along with our partners, Fundación Tigo, recently began construction on the renovations and expansion of three schools in Jalapa, Guatemala. We will help remodel the pre-k, elementary and high schools in Palo Verde, municipality of Jalapa.

This specific project will help create a clean and healthy environment for the children in Jalapa and ultimately will aim to increase student attendance of over 700 children. The project will be finished in just three months!
